First time we tried to eat here, it was a no go as the restaurant had been rented for a private party. Which helped confirm the reviews we had read were valid. So we said OK and came back the next day. It was the right decision. As we looked over the menu, the waitress brought out some hot fresh garlic bread sitting in olive oil and Parmesan cheese. You could see the small pieces of garlic coating the top of the bread. I ordered the lasagna and my wife ordered the layered eggplant based on the waitress's recommendation. Both meals were excellent. The only drawback was that they were large enough that there was no room left over for dessert. A house salad came with each entree. I wish I had remembered to buy a bottle of wine at the liquor store just around the corner.

This is a. Family run Resturant that serves Italian food in traditional flavors. This is not a fancy place but it is nicely appointed given it is in a strip mall. I stop by on a regular basis for take out and an occasional dine in. The gravy they use is loaded with garlic and if you like garlic you will enjoy the gravy or sauce. You won't go hungry and although the prices are a little on the high side for the "fancier" dishes like the seafood a basic dish is affordable. Given the limited number of family run restaurants you should try it out!

I wanted to like this place. I wanted it to be really good. I'd been warned by others that it wasn't worth going to and I so wanted to prove them wrong. I hate it when they are right. ugh!!! It was just such a disappointing experience. Awful sauce. I wanted to shake the "chef" and slip him a simple recipe or run in the kitchen and do it myself. Darn!

If you're looking for fancy, this isn't it. However, the food was good and the portions were large. We brought our own wine and there was even live music on a Monday night! It is a family restaurant and the family was all there! Service was good.

Delicious, authentic Italian food! Visited family and we enjoyed dinner here, grabbing a bottle of wine at the liquor store, next store. Nice option and wine glasses were promptly brought to the table upon our being seated. Michael, our server, was very nice and walked us through the specials and menu favorites. Super friendly and very efficient. Calamari app was outstanding, flash fried, fresh and tender- a must order for calamari fans. Lasagna was hearty with many layers of cheese and meat. Not too ooey-gooey but delicious. After seeing it. I ordered a piece (take out) for my hubby to enjoy at home later since I was solo on this trip. Also enjoyed was baked ravioli, which was tasty. Marinara was wonderful. Would pop in here again anytime I'm in the area.

I was as surprised by this restaurant as any I have eaten in. It's a hole-in-the-wall in a strip shopping center. However, my grouper dinner and my wife's grouper sandwich were as good you'd expect in a fine seafood restaurant. My brother ordered an Italian meal and felt just as good about it. When we had walked in, we hadn't expected much. Also, the waitstaff strives to please. Anytime I am in the area, I will return there for another meal.

A first for me; while we were eating our dinner a roach ( in broad daylight ) walked in front of my plate. I screamed, lost our appetites, paid the bill and left, never to return. It's said that if you see a roach in broad daylight , count on their being an abundance of them at night. Yuck!

Very very good food. Excellent service also. Finally a Italian restaurant that knows its an Italian restaurant, playing Sinatra was an added plus! We will be back

Great food, reasonable price. I ordered 3 full dinners to go for my family and it only cost about $40. Plus, the service was wonderful, food was delicious, and great portions as people have mentioned. Will definitely be back.

Excellent authentic Italian food. The owner is hilarious and I hear he even sings sometimes. I had the blue crab and grouper on angel hair pasta. Awesome! I was just visiting relatives and this place makes me want to visit more.

Bella Cucina has really tasty Italian food and we haven't been disappointed with anything we've gotten the multiple times we've been so far. The chicken parmesan is great, but we also like their seafood specials. It can get a little noisy just because it's so popular, but overall, it's a nice dining experience.

Good family itilian. Low price but high quality food. Can bring your own bottle of wine no cork fee. The dessert was awesome all home made!

Food was great but a little pricey, got the seafood, I think it included blue crab, pasta and it was awesome! It is a little pricey but the portions were huge! Family owned and ran place. Wasnt expecting much when we walked in but we were pleasantly surprised!

I really don't like writing reviews about places I want to like, where the service / servers are friendly and attentive, but the place just fails to deliver. Such is the review of Bella. I really don't want to be "mean". I just want to try and be truthful. I really wanted to like this place, and also went in with the intent of giving a little forgiveness considering the location in a very remote and nondescript part of the world. Sun City is retirement central, more golf carts on the road than cars ... I wasn't expecting very much. I ordered the Chicken Parm. A staple I always find fairly safe and a good starting point for measuring a place... Everyone who grows up on "Mom's sauce" or gravy will have a strong opinion. I'm no different. To say my Mom made good tasting sauce is laughable ... it was amazing. Testimony was whenever we had company that stayed for dinner ... there was always a question somewhere in the corner of the room "..is she making sauce?" We had it 2 or 3 times a week. If I had the reigns it would have been 5...and there was ALWAYS sauce in arms reach either frozen or defrosted. It was always a backstop. I've tried to make my Mom's sauce. I'm an embarrassment. Better said, what I make is fairly terrible. I found my sauce better than Bella's. I was so saddened by this. It was watery, tomato chunky with little body, and fairly tasteless. Again and in fairness if this is what you grew up on and are use to, you might love it. I grew up in Italian American central. Anyway ... the chicken was cooked reasonably well, still slightly juicy, it had a little thickness and wasn't a simply cheap frozen restaurant patty. It also used "flavored" breadcrumbs but I found this too to be fairly tasteless. I want to say that non of this meal tasted "bad" .. it simply didn't taste. The pasta side was typical dried pasta which is one of those forgiveness's I was willing to endure. If the world only knew what a fresh pasta restaurant would do for business. There is a reason noodle makers in China spend years learning, and why in Little Italy NY the women started at 3AM to make hand pasta. There's nothing like it...and it attracts foodies like a bug zapper light. The garlic bread they served came on a plate dripping in what I assume to be the margarine / butter or some such they used to make it. It was neither appetizing, aesthetically pleasing or easy to eat dripping wet. As a final death nail the shop doesn't take AMEX which is a sin in my view. We all understand the fee structure of accepting credit cards. It is a part of doing business. Get over it. Sorry Bella. I recognize your clientele are the throngs of retirees with few taste buds left. The shame is that will remain your mainstay. You do get a couple stars for trying.

I have eaten here a couple of times and found the food average. Nothing special. Also there is little if anything on the menu that is heart healthy. All the pasta's that they offer are white flour. They don't offer any gluten free or whole wheat/grain. The ice tea is a water down version of some common cheap tea. Since this is an Italian restaurant one would think they would have Italian music playing. Instead, it was Country-Western with commercials. I wonder if they have ever heard of Pandora? On the positive side, the staff is very attentive and aim to please. The food was served hot. The music volume was at a medium volume.

Reasonable prices, friendly staff, large portions of hearty Italian-American food - delicioso!

  • Marianne M.

We have been to Bella Cucina several times and the food is always great and the service too. Large portion so I always have leftovers for lunch the next day. I usually get the special(s) and I've never been disappointed. Homemade tiramisu is awesome so save room for it. Family owned and they brought true Philadelphia cheesesteaks here to Florida, try one you'll love it.

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
